Join Zoë in Guanacaste, Costa Rica from July 20-27, 2019 for a magical week of Mysore practice, Sanskrit, chanting and philosophy and, of course, plenty of time on the beach!
I am honored and excited to be teaching daily Sanskrit / Yoga Philosophy Classes as part of a 100 hour Teacher Training led by my old friends and long time Ashtanga yoga practitioners and teachers, Mark and Joanne Darby, in a beautiful retreat setting in Costa Rica.
Sundays, November 18th, December 2nd, 9th, and 16th
Whether you are brand new to studying Sanskrit or have some experience - interested in learning proper pronunciation, reading the devanāgarī script, delving into meaning and grammar, this class is for you. The study of Sanskrit at any level will deepen your yoga practice both on and off the mat - opening your heart, mind and soul to greater levels of subtle awareness, concentration and understanding.
Sunday, January 28th, 12-1:30PM
An understanding of Sanskrit can help to connect us to the rich fabric of philosophy from which the yoga tradition emerged and thus deepen our practice. Sanskrit study can be a meditation in itself and helps to cultivate concentration. It is also fun!
